I have to say that she is not only beautiful and photogenic, but she is an amazing musician too. She played her guitar some for me during the session.

Kourtni's First Studio Shoot - Portraits at Ron Brewer Images in Surprise AZ
I recently did a model portfolio shoot for a new model, Kourtni Young. She had a long drive from Tucson, AZ, to get to my studio (about 2 hours each way). Believe it or not, based on the images, this was her first studio shoot!
Kourtni is one of those people that you become amazed with very quickly. We all know someone like her, and wish we could have the same characteristics. Kourtni is a full time college student, works two jobs, plays in three bands (two of which operate out of Phoenix) and is an aspiring model. How do people do all of that and keep their sanity, much less be able to keep their eyes open in class? She is the real deal and going to go far. Watch for her.
DIGITAL SPECIAL
For a very short time, I am running a DIGITAL SPECIAL at a significant reduction from my regular rates.

My current rate for a full studio session (up to 1.5 hours and multiple outfits) is $175 and a mini studio session (30 minutes with two outfits) is $99, but I am running a DIGITAL SPECIAL right now on the full studio session at the same rate as the mini ($99). You get the full 1.5 hour session with multiple outfits at $99, a 43% discount.
Normally, the images are priced beyond the session fee, beginning at $124 each. But with the Digital Special, you receive, free, two fully retouched digital images in low resolution digital (JPEG) format, which means the four images are great for use online (Facebook, cell phones, emailing, etc). If you want digital images that you can make prints from, the current special makes those available at $49 each.
The Digital Special is only available for purchase until Friday, March 23, 2012. The purchase must be booked and paid in full by March 23, but the photographic session may be scheduled for anytime until the end of April, 2012.

I recently ran a contest on my Fan Page over at Facebook, over at www.Facebook.com/RonBrewerImages . I wanted to see if people preferred the COLOR or BLACK & WHITE image recently taken of Jess. The COLOR image win, getting 73% of the votes. Here is the comparative:
One person commented that she looks like a hair model. You know, one of those ads for hair color or for a salon. I agree. Actually, Jess is a professional model and we were doing a portfolio shoot for her in the studio. So she does look like a model because she actually IS a model. Good catch. Jess is also a student that lives in Tucson, AZ, and had to drive over two hours each way to get to the studio. Seems like a lot of my clients have come from Tucson recently and they all have a long drive to get here. I think I love Tucson!
I'm on a Book Cover!!! Ron Brewer Images in Surprise and Peoria AZ
Well, I'm not on the cover of a book. But one of my images is now a book cover for a newly released novel, Cybil Raven: Miracle at St. Rita (Cybil Raven Chronicles). It's the latest release in a series of books about Cybil Raven, a mostly fictional character involved in fighting terrorists.
MOSTLY fictional? Well, the Cybil character is based on the life of someone I recently met, Crystal Craven. She is a model (which is how I met her), an ex-soldier (Army Airborne paratrooper and Intelligence), a computer tech, an author, and the mother of two amazing boys. Crystal and I were doing a shoot here in Phoenix to update her modeling portfolio, and we became quick friends. As it turns out, this image from that shoot ended up as the book cover!
