HOW TO TAKE THIS PICTURE (Swimsuits + Pools + Glamour)
Would you like to have the skills to take a picture like this? It looks like it would be simple, doesn't it? But if you don't know the specific techniques to get this kind of shot, it just isn't going to look the same. After all, this shot was taken at mid-day when the sun is straight overhead and, as anyone that knows much about photography will tell you, it's the worst time of day to take a photograph outdoors. The sun gives off a harsh light that doesn't look good in a picture. Unless you know how to make it work FOR you rather than AGAINST you.
You can learn how to take glamour shots out by the pool. Ron Brewer Images has a four hour workshop called "Swimsuits + Pools + Glamour" as a part of their "How To Take This Picture" series of workshops. The workshop will be held on a Saturday morning, September 22, from 9am to 1pm at 17571 W. Rimrock St., Surprise, AZ.
Discover how to use your DSLR camera to take shots like this. This is a hands on workshop so bring your camera and be prepared to learn how to do this shot and to take some images home just like this. A model will be present for you to photograph in our pool. You will learn how to get this shot using natural light (no flash/strobe) at mid-day. You will learn skills that you can use at the pool or lake for swimsuit glamour shots.
This workshop is for DSLR cameras, not Point and Shoot.

The original images have not been retouched in any way (I would never try to make someone look worse!). They are simply quick shots done of these women in the studio just before we started the Beauty Inspired session. To start with, they are all the attractive, normal women you see everyday of your life. I use the special techniques available to "take it up a notch". Together, we create images that most women only dream of having. And the men in their lives appreciate it. Beyond words.

Have you ever wanted to take great swimsuit glamour pictures out by the pool. Well, here's your chance to learn how. And this is a hands on workshop, so bring your camera and be prepared to learn how to take this shot and to take some images home just like this. A model will be present for you to photograph in our pool. You will learn how to get this shot using natural light (no flash/strobe) at mid-day. Yes, mid-day, believe it or not, when the sun is harsh and it's hard to get a good shot. But you will learn how to get this shot in mid-day sun. You will learn skills that you can use at the pool or lake for swimsuit glamour shots. And don't forget to bring shorts or a swimsuit yourself; it's hot working out in the Arizona sun and you might even get your feet wet!
This workshop is for DSLR cameras, not Point and Shoot.

DSLR CAMERA PHOTOGRAPHY WORKSHOP
(INTRODUCTION TO PHOTOGRAPHY)
Learn the basics of how to use your DSLR camera. You will learn about the different Modes, setting exposure, focus points, and, well, all the things you need to know in order to make great pictures. Stop just taking snapshots and start taking great pictures.
This workshop is offered at two different times and session formats. One offering is on a Saturday (Sept. 15) and is a single session from 9am to 1pm. The second offering splits the class into two sessions. They are both on Wednesday evenings, Sept. 19 and 26, from 6:30pm to 8:30pm. Both formats cover the same material, but you can select the dates that best fit your schedule.
The workshop will be in the relaxed environment of a small group, so your questions will get answered.
This workshop is not for owners of Point and Shoot cameras, but rather intended for owners of DSLR cameras.
Whichever session format you select (the single Saturday session or the two Wednesday sessions), the registration fee is only $99.

How to Select A Photographer in Phoenix, Scottsdale or Surprise AZ - Ron Brewer Images 623-698-2228
There are so many photographers in the Phoenix area. When you search the web, you will find out how over saturated the market is with photographers. With so many options, just how do you select a photographer?
First, check out his/her web site. Does it look professional? If not, be careful. Do they look like a real business? Do they seem to have professional practices? You want to hire someone that is a good business person. You do not want to pay a deposit on prints only to find out they needed your money to pay for the prints from the last person's order. Be careful about searching based on price. Any photographer that under charges will not stay in business long. There are real world costs that exist in business and under charging will keep a photographer from being able to pay those bills. You need a photographer that will still be in business at least from the time between when you paid your deposit until after you received your prints! Don't get caught with a payment receipt but no prints. The business skills and the artistic skills of photography are very different skill sets, and it is common for photographers to find themselves rather challenged in the business area.
Second, review their gallery of sample photographs. Do they show a consistency with their quality of work, or do some of the images not seem to be as good as other images in their portfolio? Do the images look more like snapshots that anyone can take, or do they have a WOW factor? When you see the difference, you will immediately know it.
Third, every photographer has genres of photography in which they specialize. Not every photographer is a wedding photographer. Some only do location work and some only do studio work. One More Time... | Ron Brewer Images of Phoenix
A few years ago, Alyssa was one of the first people that I ever photographed in the studio.
She gave me multiple opportunities over the years to test out new lighting and posing techniques. So it was a thrill to do her Senior Pictures recently. She and her family drove in to Phoenix from Southern California to vacation and do the shoot. We decided to do a beauty and fashion approach in the studio.
